This Is Something To Make Us All Think

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen ?"

Ann Graham gave us an extremely profound and insightful response. She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.

And being the gentleman he is, I believe he has calmly backed out. How can we expect God To give us his blessing and his protection if we demand he leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc... I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said Ok.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school...the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said Ok.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he is talking about. And we said Ok.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "We Reap What We Sow."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school workplace.

Are you Laughing?

Here are my notes on this subject: I do believe that God is saddened by what happened in the September 11 attack, but also, have you ever thought that If, If he had caused it, that maybe, just maybe, he was testing our faith in him? To maybe let us know, that we just might need him now and always have, but just did not know it. But I have observed people for a long, long time and I have, to my disappointment, noticed that People have their heads in the sand. They don't want to get closer to God, because that would mean that they would have to accept the truth/the accurate knowledge of what is in the Bible, but instead, rely on these false prophets to tell them what is in the Bible, instead of reading it themselves. There are no true christians in any of the churches. If there were, they would not be in a church where the preachers, priests etc.. are preaching what they feel comfortable with, which is not what is in the whole Bible. People should read the Bible for themselves, word for word, page by page and when you are through, read it again. The more you read, the more you learn and know that Jesus was not born on December 25th; that, that is a pagan celebration, not a true Christian celebration. To be a true Christian, you have to follow the statutes and convenant of God, and that is not Easter, nor birthdays (because Jesus who was perfect in every way, never celebrated his, so why should we, who are imperfect and full of sin, have the right to celebrate ours) It says in the Bible, the only thing we are suppose to observe is the Passover. Remember that people? The night before Jesus was betrayed by Judas Iscariot and then crucified by his own people. Our children have no conscience because they were brought up as latch key kids with no parents at home and no one to discipline them when they needed it, but were left to do whatever they wanted to do. And we can imagine what that would be with most of the kids. There should always be someone at home with their child, to teach them some morals, ethics, manners and most important of all Bible standards of what is expected of our young people and adults as a whole family. People are just plain stupid in my opinion to let everything come before their children and family life. They should all take some time out to read the Bible to each other. So what, you have to give up an hour or two of TV, or riding your bike, or listening to music or doing a report for work. It is what God wants us to do that is important, not what we want. We are suppose to follow his rules, not our own. Yes, Ann Graham has made a lot of points here. Dr. Spock's son was already warped before he committed suicide, because he was not disciplined as he should have been. He was most likely ignored or his parents were overly strict. That is probably why the poor fool offed himself. We do "reap what we sow." What goes around comes around. I have seen proof of that myself. What the Bible says is what God wanted put in there, by people he trusted most. Remember, it will be God who will be judging us, not man, so I think we had better get it together before it is too late, because we do not know when he will make his entrance. I read some from the Bible every day and have for years; and when I finish reading all of the Bible, I start over again. The more I read, the more I learn. Take a hint! Your soul could sure use it. Save your soul while you can. It won't be much longer. The signs are getting stronger.
