Life Beyond the Grave - It is Possible-Future Life Made Possible - Conclusion

Jesus is the only one who could give his soul as a random because he is the only human who did not inherit sin from the first man, Adam. Why so? Because the life of Jesus was miraculously transferred from heaven to the womb of Mary, who was a virgin. So, as an angel told Mary, her son was "holy, God's Son." (Luke 1:34, 35) That is why Jesus is called "the las Adam" and why he did not inherit sin from "the first man Adam. (1 Corinthians 15:45) As sinless human, Jesus could thus give himself as "a corresponding ransom" his life corresponded to or was the equivalent of the once perfect, sinless first man. - 1 TIMOTHY 2:6.

By this provision of the ransom, God made it possible for us to receive what the first Adam lost, namely everlasting life in an earthly paradise. To receive this blessing, however, the vast majority of mankind will have to live again. What a marvelous prospect! But is that just too good to be true?

Life Beyond the Grave - It Is Possible! - Future Life Made Possible

As we read earlier, "death is to be brought to nothing"-yes, removed forever! (1 Corinthians 15:26) But how? The Bible explains this, saying: "Through one act of justification the result to men of all sorts is a declaring of them righteous for life." (Romans 5:18) What is it that makes possible a righteous standing with God and the enjoying of everlasting life?

It is the provision for cancelling the sin that all humans inherited from the first man, Adam. The Bible explains: "The gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23) Of this provision for declaring people righteous for life, Jesus said: "God so loved the world [of mankind] that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting lif3e." -JOHN 3:16.

Think about the depth of God love for us, as well as that of his Son, Jesus Christ, who suffered greatly in our behalf. The apostle Paul wrote:  "The Son of God . . . loved me and handed himself over for me. (Galatians 2:20) Why, though, is Jesus the only human who could "give his soul [as]a random" for us and thereby save us from the deadly consequences of sin? - MATTHEW 20:28.

Life Beyon the Grave - It Is Possible! -Why We Grow Old and Die

Regarding Jehovah our God, our Creator, the Bible says: "Perfect is his activity." (Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 83:18) The first man, Adam was created perfect, and he had the potential of living forever in Eden, the earthly Paradise garden in which God placed him.  (Genesis 2:7-9) Why did Adam lose that Paradise home and grow old and die?

Simply stated: Adam failed to obey the command not to eat from a particular tree. God had clearly warned Adam of the penalty for doing so, saying: "You will positively die." (Genesis 2:16, 17) Adam joined his wife, Eve in disobeying that command, so God evicted them from Eden. The reason for Gods prompt action is significant. The Bible states: "That [Adam] may not put his hand out and actually take fruit also from the [garden's] tree of life and eat and live [forever]." - GENESIS 3:1-6, 22.

Adam and Eve died for their disobedience, but why do all their descendants grow and die? Because they inherited sin from Adam, and sin as resulted in the imperfection and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had sinned." - ROMANS 5:12.

Life Beyond the Grave - It Is Possible!

IN A movie several years ago, a young man was shown standing at a dear one's grave. "Momma always said dyin' was a part of life," he said. Then, as the camera focused briefly on the grave marker, he added: "I sure wish it wasn't."

This sentiment expressed the feeling of billions who have lost a loved one in death. What a horrible enemy! Yet, God promises: "As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing." (1 Corinthians 15:26) But why, in spite of an apparent capacity to live indefinitely, do we die? How is death to be removed?

How Paradise Will Be Restored

While on earth, Jesus taught his followers to pray for the very means that God will restore righteous conditions earth wide. Jesus said we should pray: "Let thy heavenly father, Jehovah be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will be done in heaven as well as on the earth." (Matthew 6:10) God his Son to be the Ruler of this Kingdom, will carry out God's purpose that Paradise condition be enjoyed everywhere on earth.

Regarding the One whom God has appointed as Ruler, the Bible said: "There has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called . . . Prince of Peace. To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end." (Isaiah 9:6, 7) Yet, how will this government under such "princely rule" carry out the will of God?

The Bible answers, saying: "In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom [the princely rule] that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite." - DANIEL 2:44.

Let us consider the conditions that will prevail on earth in the restored Paradise, yes, "in the re-creation," when God's Son exercises his power as the 'princely rule' in his Father's Kingdom.

Life in a Restored Paradise

JESUS confidently spoke of living again, and his told his disciples that this was a certainty. "In the re-creation," he said, "[you] will inherit everlasting life." What did Jesus mean by "in the re-creation"? - MATTHEW 19:25-29.

According to the parallel account by the Bible writer Luke, Jesus said that "in the coming system of things," his disciples would receive "everlasting life." (Lukw 18:28-30) Why does the Bible speak of the coming system of things" as being the same as "the re-creation"?

Evidently it was to emphasize that Jehovah God will see to it that his original purpose for mankind to enjoy eternal life in an earthly paradise will be realized. Humans will be restored to the perfection enjoyed by Adam and Eve prior to their sin. So "in the coming system of things, "there will be "the re-creation of the Paradise conditions that existed in the garden of Eden.

Will the Earth Be Destroyed?/The Bible's answer

Doesn't the Bible teach that the earth will be burned with fire?

No, it does not. Such a misconception often comes from a misunderstanding of 2 Peter 3:7 which says: "The heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire." Consider those two important points that help us understand the meaning of those words:

1.The Bible uses the terms "heavens," "earth," and "fire" to refer to more than one thing. For example, Genesis 11:1 says: "All the earth continued to be of one language." Here "earth" refers to human society.

2. The context of 2 Peter 3:7 indicates the meaning of the heavens, earth, and fire mentioned there. Verses 5 and 6 draw a parallel with the Flood of Noah's day. On that occasion, an ancient world was destroyed, yet our planet did not disappear. Instead, the flood wiped out a violent society, or "earth."  (Genesis 6:11) It also destroyed a kind of "heavens"-the people who ruled over that earthly society. Thus, wicked people were destroyed, not our planet. Noah and his family survived the destruction of that world and inhabited the earth after the Flood. - GENESIS 8:15-18.

Similar to the waters of the Flood, the destruction, or "fire," of 2 Peter3:7 will bring an end to the world of wicked people, not to planet Earth. God promises "new heavens and a new earth" in which "righteousness is to dwell." (2 Peter 3:13) A "new earth," or new humans society, will be ruled over by "new heavens," or new leadership-God's Kingdom. Under the rule of that Kingdom, the earth will become a peaceful paradise. - REVELATION 21:1-4.

Will the Earth Be Destroyed/The Bible's answer

 Will humans ruin the earth?

God will not allow humans to ruin the earth completely by p0llution, warfare, or any other means. Rather, he will "bring to ruin those ruining the earth." (Revelation 11:18) How will he accomplish that?

God will replace human governments, which have been unable to protect the earth, with a perfect heavenly Kingdom. (Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10) That Kingdom will be ruled by God's Son, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 9:6. 7) When on earth, Jesus exercised miraculous powers and over natural elements. (Mark 4:35-41) As the King of God's Kingdom, Jesus will exercise full control over earth and its elements. He will re-create, or renew conditions on earth, making them similar to those that existed in the garden of Eden. - MATTHEW 19:28; LUKE 23:43.

When Jesus was on earth, he cured the sick, fed the hungry, controlled the weather, and even resurrected the dead. (Mark 4:39; 6:41-44; Luke 11:43, 44) He thus showed what he would do as King of God's Kingdom.

A Real Hope for a Better Tomorrow

Is the hope the Bible offers us too good to be true?

Understandably, you may feel that it is. However, we encourage you to examine further what the Bible says about the future. Why? The promises found in the Bible are different from the promises and predictions people make. The promises found in the Bible are from God. Here is why that makes a big difference:

. God is trustworthy. The Bible says that God "cannot lie." (Titus 1:2) In addition, only God has the ability to foretell the future. (Isaiah 46:10) The Bible contains countless examples that prove that what God foretells always comes true. For more information, watch the video How Can We Be Sure the Bible is True

. God has the power to solve our problems. The Bible says that God has the power to do "everything he pleases to do." (Psalm 135:5, 6) In other words, nothing can stop God from fulfilling his promises. What is more, God wants to help us because he loves us. - JOHN 3:16.

Naturally, you may wonder, 'if God wants to help us and has the power to help us, why do we still experience so many problems? To answer that question, watch the video Why Does God Allow Suffering?

What Does the Bible Say About Nuclear War? - Does the Bible book of Revelation refer to nuclear war?

Some feel that the book of Revelation alludes to the devastation caused by a nuclear holocaust. (Revelation 6:14; 8:7-12; 16:1-21) For example, it describes "making fire come down our of heave to the earth." (Revelation 13:11-13) Jehovah's Witnesses understand that this refers, not to full-scale nuclear war, but to the use of atomic bombs during the Second World War.

Although the book of Revelation does refer to those nuclear events, its purpose is not to describe the horrors in detail. When reading the book of Revelation, remember:

. The book uses many signs, or symbols, that are not to be understood literally. - REVELATION 1:1.

. The book is not intended to terrify its readers. Rather, its message brings happiness to those who understand and apply it. - REVELATION 1:3.

Some connect Armageddon to a global nuclear war.  No doubt they imagine the catastrophic consequences of such an event.

The Bible, however, uses the word "Armageddon" to refer to a war between the "the kings of the entire inhabited earth.," or human governments, and God. (Revelation 16:14, 16) Armageddon will not involve random destruction, leaving behind the devastation of a manmade nuclear holocaust. Rather, at Armageddon, God will destroy only the wicked, which will make true peace and security possible. - PSALM 37:9, 10; ISAIAH 32:17, 18; MATTHEW 6:10.

How can you cope with "nuclear anxiety"? - Conclusion

In fact, we do well to take care of our mental and emotional health. We can do that by avoiding unnecessary exposure to information that generates anxiety, such as discussions, predictions and opinions about the latest nuclear developments. This does not mean that we choose to live in a denial. Rather, we are taking steps to free our mind from dwelling on events over which we have no control over and which may never happen.

The Bible describes a bright future for the earth and for those living on it. What Does the Bible Say About Nuclear War? - Will planet Earth survive?

Yes. Even if man wee to use nuclear weapons again, God would not allow the situation to escalate to the point of global annihilation. The Bible says that our planet will not only survive threats to its existence but will also host human life forever.

" The earth remains forever." - ECCLESIASTES 1:4.

"God, the One who formed the earth, . . . did it create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited." - ISAIAH 45:18.

Some people have imagined that, in the future, the earth will be inhabited by a handful of humans struggling to survive in a wasteland polluted by nuclear fallout. However, the Bible indicates that any damage to the earth caused by warfare will be fully undone.

Note: These people need to quit watching TV so much, it gives them the wrong idea of what will happen.  And other people who think they know are just as ignorant those who believe this crap. Shame!

"The wilderness and the parched land will exult, and the desert plain will be joyful and blossom as saffron." - ISAIAH 35:1.

What Does the Bible Say About Nuclear War? -Would God permit nuclear war?

The Bible does not say. It does say that "fearful sights," or terrifying events, would occur in our day. To learn more, watched the video Why Does God Allow Suffering?

Note: I do not believe God would allow nuclear war. Nuclear war would destroy everyone and everything and that would be against Jehovah's purpose for survival of the righteous from the great tribulation.  And the unrighteous. No, Jehovah would not allow nuclear wars.

Jehovah's Witnesses also find support in their loving worldwide brotherhood. (John 13:35) For instance, Oleksandra, quoted earlier had to flee with her sister to another country because of war. She says: "When we crossed the border, we immediately saw local Witnesses, who were there to welcome us. Their support helped us adapt to living in a new country as refugees."
