Conclusion of The Golden Calf
Moses hurries down the mountain. And when he gets close, this is what he sees. The people are singing and dancing around the calf! Moses is so angry that he throws down the two flat stones with the laws on them, and they break into many, many pieces. He then takes the golden calf and melts it down. Then he grinds it into powder.
The people have done a very bad thing. So Moses tells some of the men to take their swords. 'The bad people who worshiped the gold calf must die,' Moses says. And so the men strike dead 3,000 people!
Doesn't this show that we need to be careful to worship only Jehovah, and not any false gods?
Note: If I had been Moses or God who told him to do this, I would have too. Both God and Moses could have killed them at any time, because all they could do is complain about every little thing they could think of, showing no faith that God would feed them, even though, their shoes and clothing never wore out at all. When it is really time for Armageddon and Resurrection, everyone who is alive at the time, will truly see what God can do to people when he has a mind to do it. He has been very patient. Don't think I would seeing what most everyone is doing today. He will punish everyone in little ways in this system, we won't know exactly how, but he will do it. We are bad to the bone. Most of us who try very hard to do what Jehovah wants and succeeds well, will not escape punishment in this day/system of things. We are all, true Christians or not, imperfect and make mistakes. But true Christians who follow God's Laws, worship him, have faith, love etc, will reap the good benefits in the end. We all need God. I just wish people would wake up and see it.
