"Let Your Kingdom Come" -Generation

Jesus indicated that the Kingdom will come after "this generation" has witnessed the fulfillment of the prophetic sign.

Group 1: Anointed ones who saw the beginning of the fulfillment of the sign in 1914.

Group 2: Anointed ones who were contemporaries of the first group; some of these will live to see the great tribulation.

"Will no means pass away until all these things happen."  How will these words prove true?  To answer that, we need to know two things:   the meaning both of "generation" and of "all these things." The term "generation" often refers to people of varying ages whose lives overlap during a particular period of time.  A generation is not overly long, and it comes to an end.  (Exodus 1:6) The expression "all these things" includes all the foretold events during Jesus' presence, from its beginning in 1914 until its culmination at the "great tribulation." - Matthew 24:21.

How, then, may we understand Jesus' words about "this generation"?  The generation consists of two overlapping groups of anointed ones-the first is made up  of anointed ones who saw the beginning of the fulfillment of the sign in 1914 and the second, anointed  ones who for a time were contemporaries of the first group. At least some of those  in the second group will live to see the beginning of the coming of tribulation. The two groups from one generation because their lives as anointed Christians overlapped for a time.

What may we conclude? Well, we know that the sign of Jesus' presence in Kingdom power is clearly evident around the globe. We also see that the anointed ones who are still alive and part of "this generation" are getting on in years; yet, they will not die off before the great tribulation begins.  Therefore, we can conclude that very soon indeed God's Kingdom will come and exercise its rule over the earth!  How thrilling it will be to witness the fulfillment  of the prayer that Jesus taught us:  "Let you Kingdom come"!

Note: They don't mention the other sheep.  They are the ones who believe, have faith, worship, study the Bible, follow all his laws, statutes, commandments, Bible principles, and work for him the best way you can by telling others about him. These are the ones that either have not been baptized or one who have been baptized but not by Jehovah's Witnesses.  That is what I read and understand. To what I have observed, Witness congregation in each state seems to  have some different beliefs. I don't understand this, because they are suppose to be one type of group with all the same beliefs etc.  To my understanding, this is just about what Jehovah had his/Jesus apostles write in the Bible. We are suppose to be following that.  That is the religion, not the Bibles of the other religions, they are the wolves in sheep's clothing who are leading the sheep astray.  The King James Bible is the one I read, it is where the Witnesses took their information to make the information more understood in many languages that the ancestors thousands of years ago would not let get done, also would not let Jehovah's name be in the Bible.

Let us never forget the words that Jehovah himself spoke from heaven regarding his son: "Listen to him."  As true Christians, we are eager to heed that divine direction.  We are keenly interested n everything that Jesus said and taught about God's Kingdom. What that Kingdom has already accomplished and will do in the future is the vial field of  study that will be discussed in this publication. The next chapter will examine the exciting developments that surrounded the birth of God's Kingdom in heaven.
