Visions of Heaven/Visions of Those in the Invisible Heavens

SATAN MISLEADS MILLIONS 

"War broke out in heaven:  Michael [Jesus Christ] and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels  battled but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them found any longer in heaven.  So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. -Revelation 12:7-9.

Heaven has not always been peaceful.  At the very dawn of human history, one of the angels, consumed by a desire to be worshipped, rebelled against Jehovah, becoming Satan, meaning "Resister" Other angels later joined in the rebellion and become known as demons. Thoroughly evil, they bitterly oppose Jehovah and have led humans on a course contrary to Jehovah's loving direction. 

Satan and his demons are depraved and cruel. They are enemies of mankind and have contributed to much of the suffering on earth. For example, Satan killed the livestock and the servants of the faithful man Job.  Next,  he killed all ten of Job's  children by causing "a great wind" to crush the house they were in.  After that, Satan struck Job with "painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.  

Note: Yes, Satan did do this, but he was taunting God in saying that Job would not worship God anymore if he took everything away from Job.  Jehovah let Satan test Job to see just how much integrity Job had and that he would still worship Jehovah.  After Satan saw that Job kept his integrity, he made to bring everything back the way it was before. 

Soon, though, Satan will be done away with. Since being hurled to the vicinity o the earth, he knows that "he has a short  period of time."  (Revelation 12:12) Satan is doomed, and that is certainly good news!
